Ahead Group is seeking a Test Manager with extensive experience in the insurance domain to join a global IT consulting leader.

The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end testing activities, manage test environments, coordinate with stakeholders in both English and Japanese, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions in life insurance-related projects.

Responsibilities:




  • Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, and scenarios
  • Lead functional and non-functional testing activities across the full test cycle (planning, preparation, execution, reporting)
  • Collaborate with application owners, test managers, and UAT teams to ensure alignment
  • Serve as the primary contact for test environment management and coordinate with environment teams to ensure stability and currency
  • Demonstrate test coverage and obtain client sign-off
  • Manage continuous automation for SIT and regression testing
  • Publish daily and weekly status reports, track risks and issues to closure
  • Review business requirements early to identify defects
  • Guide test teams on insurance-related projects and ensure test data provisioning
  • Communicate with native Japanese stakeholders to plan and coordinate all test activities

Required Skills:




  • 10–12+ years of experience in test management, preferably in the insurance domain
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale, multi-application projects
  • Deep understanding of life insurance processes including policy quote, origination, claims, underwriting, and administration
  • JLPT N3 certification or higher
  • Proficiency in tools such as Azure, ALM, Jira, and Confluence
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing project milestones, planning, and financials
  • Familiarity with the latest testing tools and best practices
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese

  • Certifications such as LOMA 290/301 or Japanese insurance-related credentials
  • Experience in both functional and automation testing leadership
  • Background in managing multi-cultural, geographically distributed teams
