Client:
A leading asset management firm in Japan is seeking an
AI Digital Transformation (DX) Director
to lead enterprise-wide business transformation and accelerate the adoption of digital technologies particularly AI and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
This role sits at the intersection of investment management, finance, and technology, and will play a critical role in modernizing operations across asset funds. The successful candidate will help shape how AI, automation, and data platforms are embedded into day-to-day investment and operational workflows.

Responsibilities:
● Define and lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives across asset management, finance, compliance, fund operations, IR, and corporate functions.
● Drive the adoption of AI, automation, and data analytics to improve investment processes, operational efficiency, and decision-making quality.
● Design and execute a digital roadmap covering AI use cases, process automation, data platforms, and system modernization.
● Identify and re-engineer core business processes related to investment reporting, financial operations, compliance, and investor communications.
● Build and oversee data infrastructure for integrating, visualizing, and analyzing operational and financial data across the organization.
● Establish governance frameworks for the responsible and compliant use of AI, automation, and data in a regulated financial environment.
● Partner closely with senior stakeholders to embed digital initiatives into daily operations and long-term strategy.
● Lead cross-functional project teams and manage external vendors, system integrators, and technology partners.
● Promote organizational change through DX and AI literacy initiatives, training, and internal communication.
Requirements:
● Experience leading digital transformation, AI, automation, or data initiatives within financial services, asset management, or a related industry.
● Strong understanding of asset management operations, including investment management, fund operations, finance, compliance, or risk functions.
● Hands-on experience with technologies such as AI/ML tools, RPA, data analytics platforms, or cloud-based enterprise systems.
● Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving both business and technology stakeholders.
● Solid knowledge of data governance, risk management, and regulatory considerations in financial institutions.
● Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
● Business-level Japanese and conversational English or above.
