The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support accounting and tax activities for the Japan business.
This role will take hands‑on responsibility for SPC accounting, statutory reporting, and tax compliance across multiple entities, working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
This position suits someone who enjoys a technically focused role in a project‑based and investment‑led environment, with opportunities to contribute beyond core accounting work.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform and review SPC accounting for multiple legal entities
Manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
Prepare and review statutory financial statements
Support corporate tax and consumption tax compliance
Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and service providers
Ensure compliance with Japanese GAAP and local regulations
Support finance projects such as asset acquisitions, restructurings, or refinancings
Collaborate with regional finance teams on reporting and process
Your Skills
Fluent in both Japanese and English (business‑level or above)
Minimum 7 years' experience in accounting and tax
Hands‑on experience with SPC accounting (renewables, infrastructure, real assets, or PE‑backed structures preferred)
Strong working knowledge of Japanese statutory accounting and tax
Experience managing multiple entities and complex reporting requirements
Detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently
Big 4 or professional services experience is a plus
