Your new role
Manage Japan tax compliance, including corporate tax filings, indirect tax reporting, and tax account management.
Coordinate with external tax advisors on tax returns, audits, enquiries, and preparation of supporting documentation.
Prepare and review monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations for all tax‑related accounts.
Maintain accurate tax documentation and support external tax audits as required.
Support month‑end close through journal entry postings and accounting adjustments.
Prepare cash flow forecasts and provide analysis on cash position to senior finance management.
Produce monthly and ad‑hoc financial reports for internal stakeholders.
Investigate, validate, and reconcile accounting data using accounting systems and reporting tools.
Review and validate accounts payable transactions prior to payment processing.
What you'll need to succeed
Native‑level Japanese preferred; business‑level English required.
2-3+ years of accounting experience with hands‑on corporate and indirect tax exposure.
Strong Excel skills and proficiency with standard office and accounting systems.
Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to work independently in a collaborative team environment.
