Head of Finance will work directly with the CFO to drive all aspects of fundraising, IR and other strategic financial matters globally.
This position will require a management mindset that can develop financial strategies reflecting requirements of the business while considering restrictions and limited information availability.
Candidates should be prepared to work in a high-stress global environment given finance is a critical element of a capital-intensive business such as Astroscale Group.
At the same time, this position will significantly influence global operations of Astroscale Group with ability to work closely with the senior management team and entity finance teams.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop a deep understanding of the business to establish a robust global capital management strategy.
Lead all global fundraising activities including both debt and equity.
Lead all statutory reporting activities with the Director of Finance in adherence to Japanese law and Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) listing rules.
Lead all global IR and timely disclosure activities with the Director of IR.Coordinate with and provide input to the Accounting team to ensure financial statements reflect feedback from both internal and external stakeholders.
Manage the Finance and IR Groups of Astroscale Holdings.Assist the CFO on global strategic finance workstreams relevant to the Office of the CFO as required.
Essential Skills
Exceptional experience and expertise in capital markets, fundraising and investor communication to drive both equity and debt financing.
Strong understanding of Japanese law and TSE listing rule compliance required for listed companies acquired through actual experience.
Strong understanding of financial and managerial accounting.
Experience leading or working at a finance function of a listed Japanese company.
Effective global communication skills including strong written and oral communication capabilities in English and Japanese.
Team management skills including coaching, recruiting and retention.
Desirable skills
Experience in leading fundraising at an issuer company or advisor.
Experience in FP&A functions or leading group-wide budget planning processes.
CFA, CMA qualifications.
CPA qualifications.
Experience working for a global organization.
