職務内容
リードアーティストとして、日本のゲーム業界における豊富な制作経験に加え、包括的かつ最新の技術的知識を持つことが期待されます。プロジェクトの要件を理解し、適切な戦略を実行することで、プロジェクトの目標達成に向けてチームを導きます。
- 日本人アートディレクターの監督の下、プロジェクトマネージャー(PM)やリードアーティストと密接に協力しながらチームを指導し、リードする。
- 日本語とアートのスタイルに精通したリーダーとしてアートチームをサポートし、効果的なコミュニケーションを促進し、プロジェクト目標との整合性を確保する。
- インドチームが制作したアートアセットをレビューし、改善点や修正点を特定する。必要に応じて、最終成果物の品質と一貫性を確保するために介入し、実践的な調整を行う。
- 顧客とのミーティングに出席し、必要に応じて営業チームに技術サポートを提供する。
Lakshya Digital is currently seeking a Lead Artist in Japan. Situated in India, our studio collaborates with numerous leading video game companies globally, including renowned Japanese game studios such as SQEX, Luminous, From Software, Capcom, among others, to craft exceptional art and animation for their gaming projects.
We are searching for experienced individuals to join our team and contribute to the development and operation of art production services within the Japan region.
Overall Responsibility
As a Lead Artist, you are expected to possess comprehensive and current technical knowledge, along with extensive production experience within the Japanese game industry. The role entails understanding project requirements and implementing appropriate strategies to guide the team toward achieving project objectives.
Key Responsibility
- Lead the team under the supervision of the Japanese Art Director, collaborating closely with Project Managers (PMs) and Lead Artists to provide guidance and direction to the team.
- Provide support to the art team as a leader with a strong understanding of Japanese language and art styles, facilitating effective communication and ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Review art assets produced by the India team, identifying areas for improvement and correction. If necessary, intervene and apply hands-on adjustments to ensure the quality and consistency of the final deliverables.
Secondary Responsibility
- Attend client meetings and provide technical support to the sales team as needed.
Requirements
- 日本のゲーム業界でキャラクターアーティストとして5年以上の経験。
- 環境アートの経験があれば尚可。
- 次世代ゲームコンテンツの開発プロセス、ツール、パイプラインに精通していること。
- コミュニケーション能力が高く、プロジェクトのビジョンや具体的なアートディレクションをチーム全体に効果的に伝えられる方。
- 結果重視の環境で成長できる自発的な方。
- 競合するタスクを効果的に管理する優れた優先順位付けスキル。
- 批判的思考と問題解決能力。
- 細部に注意を払い、期限を守ることができる。
- 高い英語力をお持ちの方は有利になりますが、必須ではありません。
Required Skills/ Proficiencies & Qualification:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Japanese game industry as a Character Artist.
- Experience with environment art is considered a plus.
- Proficiency in next-gen game content development processes, tools, and pipelines.
- Strong communication skills, capable of effectively conveying the project's vision and specific art direction across teams.
- Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a results-driven environment.
- Excellent prioritization skills to manage competing tasks effectively.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Native-level Japanese. Fluency in English is advantageous but not mandatory.
