Overview
The
Sr. Manager, Commercial Channel Marketing Activations – Japan
is responsible for leading and executing regional channel marketing strategies across wholesale, direct-to-consumer (retail, .COM, and digital) in Japan. This role ensures cohesive and impactful commercial marketing activations that align with global brand strategies while incorporating local market insights. Partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders, this leader drives consumer engagement, brand equity, and revenue growth across all channels.
What You'll Do
- Drive channel marketing strategy and execution across wholesale and DtC (retail, .COM, and digital) to achieve business objectives.
- Connect with global and international marketing teams, bringing Japan-specific insights to align commercial and brand planning.
- Achieve sell-in and sell-through goals through integrated marketing programs in partnership with commercial and brand teams.
- Innovate and develop strategic marketing plans that maximize channel productivity and brand impact.
- Ensure alignment and consistency of marketing plans across all customer touchpoints and retail environments.
- Represent marketing in cross-functional discussions with external partners and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
- Maintain strong relationships with commercial partners and internal teams to support high-impact activations.
- Lead and mentor the Visual Merchandising team and support broader commercial team development for brand-commercial integration.
What You'll Bring To The Table
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field); or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in marketing, ideally in brand or trade marketing within footwear, fashion, or lifestyle industries.
- Expertise in channel activation marketing across wholesale and DtC (retail, .COM, digital).
- Proven people management and leadership experience.
- Deep understanding of omni-channel marketing and commercial channel strategy.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience setting KPIs and measuring campaign effectiveness.
- Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English; strong communicator with excellent presentation skills.
- Adaptable, proactive, and results-driven with a high degree of agility and resilience.
