The company is expanding rapidly and looking for a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and implementation of solar power systems.
What You'll DoLead and supervise electrical design for solar PV projects.
Create and review circuit diagrams, single-line diagrams, and grid connection schematics.
Evaluate and select key equipment such as inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
Optimize designs from internal teams and external consultants.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues at project sites.
Ensure compliance with Japanese regulations and international standards (IEC, UL).
Coordinate grid connection processes with utilities and contractors.
Prepare and submit documentation for permits and approvals.
Manage and mentor the electrical engineering team.
Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Facilitate communication between engineering, procurement, construction, and clients.
Assess system performance post-installation and recommend improvements.
Enhance system reliability through maintenance and fault analysis.
What We're Looking For
Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of experience in electrical engineering
Hands-on experience in solar or renewable energy projects.
Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and ETAP.
Familiarity with Japan's power grid and distribution systems.
Basic knowledge of power electronics, battery storage, and SCADA systems.
Valid driver's license.
Electrical Chief Engineer (Class III or higher) or equivalent certification.
Solar-related certifications (e.g., PV Design Engineer, NABCEP) are a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
