Amazon is looking for a customer focused, driven, and analytical leader to join the Books organization. We are looking for a Instock Manager who can own complex problems within Supply Chain and Operations team. In this role, the candidate will work cross functionally with teams to identify and launch initiatives aimed at improving the customer and vendor experience. This job is a consultant that works closely with publishers (2-3 per 1 role) to solve issues related to the supply chain.

Instock Managerは、書籍事業部におけるすべての在庫戦略に責任を持ち、在庫回転率を高め、オペレーションを改善することにより、売上・利益・キャッシュフローに貢献します。 高度な購買/注文エコシステムを構築、管理、最適化するという重要な役割を果たします。 このロールでは、Instock Management teamの内側で、特に影響力が大きな出版社に伴走して商品セレクションと在庫の改善やサプライチェーンの効率化のための計画・実行に責任を持ち、それによって、最高クラスの顧客体験と、収益・マージンの最大化を達成します。そのためのベンダーのパフォーマンスの向上、効率的で拡張性のあるサプライチェーンの構築など、担当出版社の在庫計画と運用管理のすべての側面を担当します。 担当出版社やアマゾン内のグローバルな関連チーム、書籍事業部内外のステークホルダーと密接に協力するコミュニケーション力と、データ分析、自動化、カイゼンを進める分析力・実行力が求められます。

The Instock Manager will demonstrate ownership of inventory strategies to maximize sales, margin and turns. He or She plays a critical role helping Amazon to build, manage and optimize a complex Buying / Ordering ecosystem.

This role will report to the Instock manager and you will be responsible to be a good partner of assigned publishers and defining/executing plans to improve selection, inventory availability and deliver supply chain efficiencies that reduce fixed and variable costs in order to provide best-in-class customer experience and maximize revenue and margin. The role will cover all aspects of inventory planning and operational management of assigned publishers, including improving vendors performance as well as building an efficient and scalable supply chain operations. To achieve these initiatives, you will perform strong communication skill to closely work with publishers, related global team, and stakeholders in/out of Books organization as well as strong analysis and delivery skill for data analysis, automation and Kaizen.

We believe reading is essential for a healthy society; our mission is to inspire readers by making it easy to read more and get more out of reading. Especially mission for Supply Chain and Inventory Management team, which this role belongs to, is to satisfy our customers in Japan by providing the right products with the right quantities, in the right place, at the right time. Supply chain of books industry in JP is in the turning point where industry is changing and there are abundant opportunities to make improvements for our customers. Especially there are opportunities to leverage our technologies such as machine learning models to automate multiple aspects of supply chain and inventory management.

Basic Qualifications
・工学、ビジネス、または関連分野における学士号

・2年以上の社会人経験

・日本語が母国語、もしくは、JPLTN1 / N2 ビジネスレベルの英語

・基礎的なOffice操作 (Excelによる分析、Powerpointによるスライド作成、Wordによるドキュメント作成)

・KPIなどのメトリック作成・改善の経験、および、生データからインサイトを抽出する分析力

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field
• 2+ years of professional non-internship experience.
• Native Japanese or JPLT N1/N2 and business level English required
• Basic capability for MS Office (analysis using Excel, slide creation using Powerpoint, document creation using Word)
• Experience with reporting technologies and analytics. Capable of turning raw data into information and insights

Preferred Qualifications
・4年以上の社会人経験

・事業会社における経営企画/サプライチェーン関連の業務経験又はコンサルティング会社におけるアナリスト/コンサルタント経験

・出版業界における経営企画/サプライチェーン関連又は営業に関連する経験

・優れた意思決定力、書面および口頭でのコミュニケーション力、実践的で常識的なアプローチに基づく実行力

・優れた分析能力と問題解決能力。 大規模で複雑なデータを処理する能力と、統計学またはその他の分析手法に精通している

・優先順位付け、スケジュール管理、時間管理、期限の遵守などの優れた実行力

・カイゼン、リーン生産方式、シックスシグマなどのプロセス改善の経験

• 4+ years of professional non-internship experience.
• Job experience for business planning/supply chain-related field or analyst/consultant experience at a consulting firm
• Job experience for business planning/supply chain-related field or sales experience in the publishing industry
• Possess excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done.
• Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills. Ability to work with large, complex data sets and familiarity with statistics or other analytical techniques.
• Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management and meeting deadlines.
• Experience with improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
