Responsibilities
-Maintain local market intelligence and develop potential local suppliers in collaboration with category buyers.
-Manage down-payment processes.
-Capture synergies and manage suppliers when required across categories or sites.
-Drive activity plans and represent Procurement in performance reviews with site management.
-Support emergency coordination and ensure local compliance.
-Possess general procurement knowledge and deep expertise in site-related topics.
-Act as Procurement contact for site-specific topics and lead related measures and projects.
-Identify and manage local suppliers.
-Support supplier development and management.
-Consolidate demand information.
-Offer language and cultural support.
-Assist category teams on a project basis within pre-defined capacity.
-Partner with project teams to provide market insights, pre-costing, and supplier recommendations.
-Lead procurement project management for small projects.
Qualifications
-Minimum 5 years of experience in indirect procurement.
-University degree
-Experience with production equipment is a plus
-Preferred: Experience in a business organization within a multinational company.
-Proficient in English (verbal and written).
-Native-level proficiency in Japanese.
-Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead by influence and effectively persuade others.
-Ability to work individually and in a team environment
Salary
Company will consider candidates up to 12M JPY for annual salary (client may consider higher salary based on candidate skills and experience).
