Our mission is to envision the ideal state of Rakuten's logistics, encompassing the entire supply chain from product inbound to end-user delivery. We aim to build the next-generation EC infrastructure by collaborating with strategic and development departments to plan and execute initiatives.

In July 2021, Rakuten Group, Inc. and Japan Post Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Japan Post Holdings Co., Ltd., will establish a new company, " JP Rakuten Logistics, Inc." By incorporating our investment and development of labor-saving, automated logistics centers into Japan Post's delivery network and jointly operating them, we will achieve logistics DX and aim to improve customer UX, shorten lead times, increase logistics efficiency, and maximize capacity.

Department Overview
The Business Management Group is primarily responsible for the development and management of management accounting and KPIs, which serve as the foundation for supporting business growth. Furthermore, depending on your motivation and capabilities, we would like to entrust you with promoting collaboration and project management for the construction of logistics hubs and networks.

Position Details
Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for management accounting operations within the EC logistics service.

• Develop business budgets
• Manage fixed assets
• Conduct budget-versus-actual analysis and analyze variance/fluctuation factors
• Propose and implement improvement measures based on analysis results
• Manage KPIs (using BI tools)

Within the team, we also handle internal control and subsidiary management operations. Looking ahead, we envision you gaining broad experience across all team operations as a manager, eventually taking on management responsibilities.

Mandatory Qualifications

• At least 3 years of practical experience in management accounting.
• Practical experience in accounting and finance related to fixed assets and lease agreements.
• Business-level OA skills (e-mail, Excel functions, etc.).
• Knowledge equivalent to Japanese Bookkeeping Test Level 2 (Boki 2-kyu).

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in logistics warehouse operations.
• Practical experience in the entire asset lifecycle, from acquisition to management and disposal of business assets.
• Experience in quantitative data analysis (ability to extract and analyze data using SQL).
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Tax Accountant (CTA) qualification.
• Project management experience.
