Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Professor at Toho University, based in Tokyo. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for conducting academic research, delivering lectures, designing curriculum, mentoring students, and publishing scholarly work. The role requires active collaboration with colleagues and participation in academic conferences and institutional activities.

Qualifications

  • Strong teaching skills and experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management
  • Advanced research abilities including conducting studies, analyzing data, and publishing in academic journals
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, along with the ability to mentor and guide students
  • Proficiency in academic writing and editing, with expertise in preparing academic papers and materials
  • Doctoral degree in the relevant academic field (Ph.D. or equivalent) from a recognized institution
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and academic growth
  • Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration and participation in academic communities is an advantage
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Japanese is desirable.
