As Director of Human Resources, you will lead the people strategy for the hotel's pre-opening and beyond. Reporting directly to the General Manager and serving on the Executive Committee, you will oversee all aspects of Human Resources including recruitment, training, employee relations, compensation, compliance, and culture development. Your leadership will shape the colleague experience and foster a workplace that reflects the Hyatt Centric brand—authentic, inclusive, and connected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Human Resources strategy and operations for the hotel's pre-opening and post-opening phases
  • Represent HR on the hotel's Executive Committee and collaborate with department heads to align people practices with business goals
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planning
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, Hyatt policies, and ethical standards
  • Promote a culture of care, inclusion, and innovation through DE&I initiatives and colleague engagement programs
  • Manage compensation, benefits, and payroll systems to ensure competitiveness and cost efficiency
  • Support employee relations, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution with fairness and consistency
  • Monitor HR KPIs and report findings to the leadership team with actionable recommendations
  • Lead efforts to cultivate and evolve the organizational culture in alignment with the hotel's vision and mission

主な業務内容

  • ホテル開業前および開業後の人事戦略と運営の統括
  • リーダーシップコミッティの一員として、人事方針を事業目標と連携させる
  • 採用・オンボーディング・研修・評価・後継者育成の管理
  • 地元の労働法、ハイアットのポリシー、倫理基準の遵守
  • DE&I 施策を積極的に推進
  • 報酬・福利厚生・給与システムの管理による競争力とコスト効率の確保
  • 公平かつ一貫性のある労務対応、懲戒手続き、問題解決の支援
  • 人事関連 KPI の分析と報告、改善提案の実施
  • ホテルのビジョンとミッションに沿った組織文化の醸成と進化の推進

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as Director /Assistant Director of Human Resources or Human Resources Manager in a lifestyle or luxury hotel
  • Pre-opening experience is highly preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills
  • Deep understanding of labor laws, employee relations, and organizational development
  • Fluency in Japanese and English
