As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to optimizing customer workspace environments for efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to work on both regional and global projects, using your skills to drive significant business value through technology.
What You'll Do
- Provide Tier 1/2 technical support for the Tokyo office, focusing on elevating technical capabilities.
- Conduct reviews, identify automation opportunities, and collaborate with PGS and regional teams to enhance service delivery.
- Closely partner with business units to understand needs, provide recommendations, and drive adoption of solutions.
- Create and manage support tickets, track performance metrics, and contribute to analytics initiatives.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support team and business objectives.
Who You Are
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–5 years of experience supporting workspace technologies, servers, or infrastructure.
- Business-level English and Japanese proficiency (written and verbal).
- Strong organizational skills and an attitude geared toward maintaining consistent workflows.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate tact in sensitive situations.
- Positive, professional, and flexible attitude.
- Compliance with Japanese legislation and internal company standards.
Functional Expertise
- Hands-on experience with workspace technologies and infrastructure support.
- Familiarity with coding languages (e.g., Python, Java, PowerShell) preferred.
- Experience with low-code and no-code platforms and asset management tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Charles River) is a plus.
- Certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure/O365, or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of Office 365 and Windows 11.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 20 kg.
- Engineering/DevOps approach with a focus on automation and efficiency.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to discern when to advance issues.
- AI working knowledge desired.
