Position Overview
Title:
Fundraising Manager for Japanese Investors – India Real Estate Development Fund
Location:
Tokyo (with regular business trips to India)
Key Responsibilities
This role is responsible for fundraising and investor relations with Japanese investors (HNWIs, institutions, and corporates) for real estate development funds focused on India (office, residential, and mixed-use projects).
1) Proposal and material preparation
2) Investor communication and negotiation
3) Structuring with India team
4) Contract execution and closing support
5) Post-investment reporting and investor relations
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in real estate funds, investment banking, securities, private equity, or development companies
- Businesslevel proficiency in both Japanese and English
- Solid understanding and experience with financial modeling
- Experience in crossborder transactions
Preferred:
- Experience in emerging Asian markets (especially India)
- Knowledge of fund structuring (AIF, SPC, LLP, etc.)
- Experience in investor relations or fundraising
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, or Real Estate Appraiser
- Excellent communication skills across cultures
- Strong investororiented presentation ability
- Genuine interest in emerging market real estate
- Highly organized with strong execution and accuracy
