Asia-Pacific Academic (APA), registered as THE APIEA LLC, is a professional organization specializing in Education Abroad and International Studies.
Founded in 2021 by experienced leaders passionate about international cultural exchange, the organization has been in the global education field since 2009.
APA has worked with over 6,000 students and faculty, offering faculty-led programs, semester-long study abroad courses, internships, virtual learning, and language studies in over 20 countries across the Asia-Pacific region, including China, Japan, Singapore, and Australia.
The organization's mission is to provide young individuals with opportunities for cultural exchange, practical learning, and career development to foster global connections.
Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Tokyo, Japan, for an Academic Specialist.
The Academic Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating educational programs, collaborating with Program Management Department and Faculty leaders.
Responsibilities include collaboratingwith faculty and students from the U.S., outreach to business and university contacts in Japan, and supporting program logistics.
The role also requires fostering strong communication channels between APA, academic institutions, and companies of different sectors.Qualifications
Strong Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with faculty, students, and partner institutions.
Proven Analytical and Research skills to develop impactful educational programs and processes.
Experience in Education and Training, especially in study abroad and cultural exchange programs.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Japanese and English; additional language skills in an Asia-Pacific language are a plus.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, International Relations, or a related field is preferred.
Cultural competency and experience in the Asia-Pacific region are highly desirable.
