Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day Fixed Income JGB/FB Operations including Settlement and Coupon/Redemption processes to provide smooth settlement and custody processes regarding the JGB/FB perimeter.
  •  Handling of Trade Capture, Settlement, Payment, Accounting, Reporting, Custody/Safekeeping, Reconciliation, Margin call, Tax etc.
  • As a Fixed Income JGB/FB BO settlement team member, be responsible to ensure a smooth and stable daily fixed income JGB/FB settlement operation working closely with FO/MO.
  • Detect/investigate issues and follow up/analyze/escalate for solutions & improvements working with relevant internal teams (FO/MO/BO/IT) and external parties (Venders, Affiliates, Clients, Central Securities Depository, Regulators) 
  • Participating in Market events/industry-wide projects, New Business initiatives, and Continuous Improvement efforts
  • This role will provide the hands-on working experience and exposure to Fixed Income JGB/FB Operations, BOJ/Euroclear settlement, JSCC clearing, JASDEC matching, Japanese BO systems, and trade flows from FO/MO to BO in the firm.

  • Ability to navigate effectively in global organization (working with other teams, countries, regions)
  • Basic IT Skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint), able to formulate functional specifications for the Technology department. 
  • Proficient in both Japanese and English
