Securities Settlements AVP
to join its Tokyo-based operations team. This is a critical role supporting
high-volume, time-sensitive settlement activity
across both domestic and international markets. - You will play a key part in ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and smooth post-trade processes while working closely with front office and global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage
end-to-end settlement processes
for mainly fixed income products - Ensure
timely and accurate settlements
in line with Japanese and global market regulations - Liaise with front office, custodians, counterparties, and internal stakeholders
- Investigate and resolve
settlement fails, breaks, and reconciliation issues - Support
process improvement and automation initiatives
within operations - Assist with
regulatory reporting, audits, and internal control reviews - Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members as required
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Proven experience in
securities settlements
within an investment bank or financial institution - Background in
investment banking operations
, including equities and fixed income products - Strong understanding of
Japanese market practices
and global settlement cycles - Experience handling
high-volume, deadline-driven post-trade processes
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving ability with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a
time-critical environment - Strong communication skills for cross-functional and stakeholder collaboration
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Language Requirements:
- Japanese:
Fluent level - English:
Intermediate to Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews, or control functions
- Exposure to process improvement or operational efficiency initiatives
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
