Job Description
We are seeking an analytical and results-driven Sr. Financial Analyst to support the Consumables finance team for Japan.
This role will act as a right-hand person of Category Leaders in respective business units, supporting the healthy growth and financial operation.
The successful candidate will deliver this through detailed financial modeling, driving business initiatives, and identifying/implementing key business indicators.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading both multi-year business planning and annual forecasts with detailed financials for business segments and initiatives.
- Auditing business teams' assumptions and plans, translating opportunities to business goals, and ensuring proper action plans are developed.
- Conducting timely reviews of forecast updates, communicating business issues and demand actions to management and business partners.
- Analyzing pricing, product sourcing strategy, new category or store launches, new business models, co-promotion opportunities, and other merchandising strategies.
- Simulating benefits and costs to Amazon, business partners, and consumers for new business and business models.
- Conducting overall cost analysis, including Retail operating components, Supply Chain and logistics, and General and Administration costs.
- Designing a low-cost supply chain strategy, identifying short-term and long-term opportunities for cost reduction, and working with the Inventory Manager to plan on-hand inventory levels.
- Partnering with other finance teams and functions to develop financial close activities, planning forecasting, and reporting models.
- Working with data source providers and technology teams to ensure accurate, automated, and timely decision data.
- Tracking and managing budgets and headcounts, reviewing and approving cost/fee structure change proposals and investments.
- Celebrating milestones and fostering growth among subordinates and newer members to the team.
Requirements
- MBA or equivalent master's level program enrollment, with a graduation date between December 2024 – September 2025.
- 3+ years of full-time industry work experience, which occurred between the graduation date from your undergraduate program and prior to starting your MBA or Master's program.
- Business-level fluency in English and Japanese (written and verbal).
- 3+ years of finance experience in an organization with world-class processes or 3+ years of experience in consulting or financial institutions.
- Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and project analysis, with data interpretation of business impact and results.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
