This opportunity lies within one of the largest e-commerce companies globally, dedicated to empowering individuals and society through internet innovation, aspiring to become a Global Innovation Company. The Data Science & AI Department, part of the Tech Division, spearheads the company's transformation by developing various conversational AI products and services for Business Units within the organization. Through the adoption of AI-driven technologies, the department aims to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and automate routine tasks.

We are currently seeking an experienced Scrum Master to effectively manage and facilitate the delivery of our challenging and exciting projects.

Required Skills:

  • Lead Agile Development Teams consisting of cross-functional members with accountability for the final outcome.
  • Facilitate and lead all Scrum events, ensuring adherence to rules and creation of defined artifacts.
  • Manage Engineering, QA, DevOps resources to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
  • Foster effective cooperation and communication among Scrum Team members.
  • Identify and resolve problems within Scrum Teams promptly.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners and other stakeholders to define and prioritize backlogs.
  • Understand product requirements, plan implementation strategy, set delivery targets, and act as a responsible Project Manager.
  • Facilitate decomposition of larger deliverables into small implementation tasks and create delivery schedules.
  • Promote healthy relationships within Teams, monitoring conflicts and initiating resolution.
  • Regularly inspect project progress, providing reports for key stakeholders.
  • Utilize team feedback and data analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure continuous improvement within Scrum Teams.
  • TOEIC test score: over 800.
  • Japanese: Native Level.

Desired Skills:

  • Minimum 3+ years of Project Management experience in Software/System Development.
  • At least 1+ year of software engineering experience with a strong interest in learning cutting-edge technology.
  • Minimum 1+ years of practical experience leading Scrum/Agile Teams.
  • Perfect understanding of the Scrum framework and general Project Management concepts.
  • Solid experience with modern project management tools (JIRA/Confluence, Slack, Trello, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scope/stakeholders/risk management and leading people.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Ability to coach people and resolve conflicts.
  • Strong desire for process improvement and ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexible mindset and ability to adapt to evolving environments.
  • Good understanding of the SDLC and experience working in multicultural teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scrum Master/Agile Certification (PSM, CSM, PMI-ACP, etc.).
  • Scaled Agilist Certification.
  • Product Owner certification (CSPO, POPM, etc.).
  • Bachelor's/Master's/Engineer's degree in Computer Science.
  • Technical background (software development, system engineering, etc.).
  • Understanding of API interface principles and design practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD principles.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese.
  • General understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience with conversational AI technologies.
