Key tasks & responsibilities:
Continuous commercial customer interface throughout product life cycle including Stakeholder / Customer Relationship Management & Negotiations
Manages all sales aspects of series business (awarded projects) --> pricing, PN tracking, customer changes if not handled by the change coordinator in the customer project management team (APM), quality issues if not handled by project manager, annual price negotiation, logistics support, packaging support, etc.
Central role in forecasting (CF's, BP, etc.) based on close knowledge of series pricing, volumes, PCR, etc.
Define the acquisition/pricing strategy for specific OEM sourcing and quotation of ECM-/RPP-measures; select, define & apply acquisition tools (battle plan , job stopper, war gaming, specific acquisition man-mapping), aligned with GCT/RCT/EO; obtain required releases compliant with Acquire Business Process standards; prepare and trigger release of customer quotation letter, compliant with Sales Business Frames standards; secure performing of Starts Control measures for High-Risk-Acquisitions (e. g. Assessment, Focus Area Matrix, quantitative Risk Management);manage acquisition negotiations within released bottom line (product price, application costs, tooling, logistics, samples etc.); assure/prepare proper project handover and documentation with Customer Project Manager and Commercial Manager; prepare lessons learned after each acquisition, incl. won/lost analysis, ensure and provide best practice exchange with other accounts
Consults Acquisition Manager, Customer Project Manager and Tier-Customer-Team
Supports Commercial Manager (, with PCR, ECM-/RPP-measures, business planning activities and the coordination of PLCM measures)
Price management: sales manager knows price elements with their historical development (e. g. Raw Material Index-RMI, currency exchange clauses, logistics/packaging, hardware changes); has an overview of long-term price development for offered/contracted business
Consults Acquisition Manager, Customer Project Manager and Tier-Customer-Team with regards to commercial aspects including logistics
Initiate Sales Price analysis for respective product/component
Check quotation specific terms and conditions in cooperation with EO / SCC
Achieve common agreements with customer in conflict situations and drive escalations in own responsibility
Assure involvement and prepare proper project handover with Customer Project Manager and Commercial Manager, incl. necessary documentation
Support entry of generic customer requirements into CRS Tool and ensure completion of requirements evaluation
Confirmation of purchase order according to EO-specific standards or project specific contracts
Support for monitoring and maintaining sales KPIs (e. g. AcT, ISAC, Special Revenues, PCR, Claim Management) of the global customer account
Support Commercial Manager (, with PCR, ECM-/RPP-measures, business planning activities and the coordination of PLCM measures)
Responsible for material shortage management within the customer account according BCM-Process
