Summary:
This role is pivotal in ensuring that software is delivered to the highest standards through our Quality Assurance practices. We specialize in delivering natural language speech recognition solutions to contact centers, including cutting-edge conversational AI and voiceprint technology, with Virtual Assistant and omnichannel interactions on the horizon. As a member of our highly skilled software development team, you will have the autonomy to manage your time according to project priorities. Responsibilities include test planning and execution on software projects of varying sizes and complexity, utilizing a diverse array of tools and methods. You will be responsible for identifying and reporting issues, as well as confidently communicating the quality of our deliverables. Additionally, you will play a key role in guiding the future of our QA methodology, striving for world-class practices.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, document, and execute functional and non-functional test strategies and plans.
- Communicate effectively with project teams and customers.
- Validate design documentation against project requirements.
- Verify software deliverables to meet specifications and requirements.
- Facilitate tracking, consolidation, and reporting of overall testing progress.
- Provide regular test status updates to the Project Manager and/or Management.
- Offer expert knowledge and guidance in software testing approaches and practices.
- Conduct various types of automated testing.
- Contribute to project meetings and stand-ups.
- Manage and drive the resolution of testing issues with all impacted parties.
- Facilitate and lead the triage and detailed analysis of issues.
- Consult with all members of the project team.
- Manage test environments and conduct software releases.
- Document testing practices and processes through knowledge bases and source control.
- Manage test data.
- Provide test effort estimations.
- Execute and complete test activities within stipulated timelines.
- Maintain key testing services and servers.
Required Skills:
- Native proficiency in Japanese Language.
- Highly experienced in white-box and specification-based testing approaches.
- Highly experienced in System and Integration Testing.
- Experience with test automation against REST and/or SOAP-based services.
- Experience with test and knowledge management products such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages.
- Experience working with software development teams and SDLC.
- Basic database skills for common DB types such as MS SQL and Oracle.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with speech recognition, voice verification, and IVR technologies.
- Experience with software build services and pipelines.
- SIP and Telephony infrastructure knowledge, including configuration and troubleshooting.
- JIRA and Confluence administration.
- Test automation with tools such as SOAPUI, Postman.
- Troubleshooting through analysis of items like DB, network, windows performance, Java performance.
