Q1: What kind of work have you been involved in up to now?
Before joining Renova, I worked as an engineer for a Japanese manufacturer, focusing on missile systems (from prototyping to mass production) and nuclear power plants (nuclear reactor control). Additionally, I was involved in engineering work related to the maintenance design, safety assurance, and operational efficiency improvement of attraction facilities at a foreign-affiliated theme park in Kansai.
After joining RENOVA, I have been responsible for exploring ways to improve operations and manage projects related to non-FIT solar power.
Q2: Why did you choose Renova?
I have always been interested in the issue of global warming and the renewable energy industry.
When I was looking for a new job, I considered working for a renewable energy company. However, at that time, the business environment for renewable energy was not as well-developed as it is now, which led me to take a job at a nuclear power-related company instead.
Nevertheless, my desire to pass on a safe and secure planet to my children and grandchildren has always remained. I decided to join Renova after being introduced to the company by a former boss from my previous job (at a foreign-affiliated theme park).
Q3: What are the characteristics of RENOVA? (Good points, things you are proud of, things you are satisfied with, etc.)
Each employee has their own ideas and intentions, and the speed of decision-making and overall workflow in the company is very fast. (It doesn't feel like you're just a cog in the machine; each person plays a critical role.)
Even the younger members tend to think for themselves and work independently, which gives the impression that they grow very quickly. As a company, although there are some areas that are still being developed, we see these areas as opportunities to create things ourselves.
I am also satisfied that we collaborate with our external partners to achieve the common goal of advancing the non-FIT solar power business. Moreover, we can see significant growth within a single year due to the continuous process of change, improvement, and evolution.
