今回募集するStrategic Account Manager(Category Merchant Manager)は、Amazonネットスーパーの事業拡大を強いオーナーシップをもってリードする中核的なポジションです。担当パートナーのAmazonにおける"事業責任者"として、ビジネスの成長と成果に対して主体的にコミットしていただきます。具体的には、パートナーが運営するAmazonネットスーパーにおいて、顧客データや各種KPIを起点とした分析を行い、課題の特定、打ち手の設計、成長戦略の策定・実行をパートナーと共に推進していただきます。単なる運用支援にとどまらず、業界に先駆けた新しいプログラムの導入や、変化する市場環境に対応したビジネスモデル構築を、交渉・利害調整を通じて能動的に主導する役割です。

また、当該パートナーを最も深く理解するAmazon側の代表として、マーケティング、オペレーション、プロダクト、法務などの社内関係部署と密に連携し、適切な情報共有と意思決定をリードしていただきます。加えて、海外で同様のネットスーパー事業を展開するグローバルチームとの連携やベストプラクティスの共有にも積極的に関与していただきます。

Amazon Fresh Grocery Partnerships JP works with leading grocery retailers to build and scale Amazon's online grocery business, delivering a new standard of convenience and value to customers across Japan. Amazon Fresh has rapidly evolved into an essential part of daily life, with significant long-term growth potential as a strategic priority for Amazon.

We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager (Category Merchant Manager, CMM) to play a pivotal role in accelerating this growth. This is a high-ownership role where you will act as the primary business owner for your assigned grocery partner on Amazon, with full accountability for driving sustainable business results.

In this role, you will leverage customer insights, data analysis, and KPI management to identify opportunities, diagnose challenges, and design growth strategies for your partner's Amazon Fresh business. Beyond execution, you will serve as a strategic advisor—working closely with partners to shape initiatives, unlock new growth levers, and implement innovative programs that set new benchmarks in the grocery industry. You will proactively lead negotiations and align diverse stakeholder interests to evolve business models in response to a rapidly changing market. As the single-threaded owner for your partner, you will collaborate extensively with internal teams across Marketing, Operations, Product, Legal, and more—ensuring alignment, driving decisions, and delivering impact at scale. You will also engage with global counterparts to share best practices and contribute to the broader evolution of Amazon's grocery marketplace worldwide. We are looking for someone who brings strong ownership, the ability to earn trust with senior stakeholders, strategic thinking to navigate complexity, and a rigorous, detail-oriented approach to problem solving.

Key job responsibilities

  • 事業計画:事業計画の策定と実行に責任を負って頂きます。その過程で社内のリーダー陣に加え、パートナーの事業担当者とのコミュニケーションも図っていただきます。
  • パートナー戦略:パートナーとの関係強化を推し進め、中長期戦略の立案と実行、ビジネス成長の極大化、さらには収益上および採算上のゴール達成を担っていただきます。
  • P&L Owner: Responsible for building goals/targets and managing the Third Party Marketplace business for grocery. Communicate with internal leaderships as well as the person of contact in our partner merchants.
  • Account Strategy: Own the business account management, build the short-term, long-term strategy, maximizing growth and ensuring revenue/profitability goals are met.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of doing one of several roles: quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, pricing, marketing or e-commerce experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing operations environment
  • Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese at a business level or above (N1+)
  • Experience in Business English skills, both verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in partner management within e-commerce or technology sectors
  • Experience in e-commerce, retail or advertising
