Adobe's Legal team collaborates with various business and functional teams to oversee the company's legal matters. Sub-teams within the Legal department include Public Policy, Compliance, Anti-piracy, Corporate Securities and M&A, Litigation, Intellectual Property, and Product and Sales support.
An exciting chance has opened up for a skilled (2 to 4 years of PQE) commercial/IT/IP lawyer in Tokyo. This role involves handling a wide range of business issues requiring legal expertise. The ideal candidate will serve as an advisor to the sales community, collaborate with different functions within the organization, and work closely with other legal team members in the Japan and Asia-Pacific regions.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial agreements and documents
- Providing general legal support to business units
- Staying updated on legal developments in the region
- Participating in global projects for efficiency improvements
- Collaborating with legal team members in different countries
- Bachelor of Law or equivalent degree
- Qualified Attorney-at-law in Japan
- 2-4 years of post-qualification experience
- Proficient in Japanese and English
- Experience in technology licensing and intellectual property law
- Interest in the software/IT industry
- Professionalism and integrity
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Adaptability to fast-paced environments
