We are seeking a Senior Project Manager for Japan & Korea who can bring structure to complex workflows, manage cross-functional stakeholders, and communicate confidently across local, regional, and global teams.

This role requires strong Japanese + English language capability, structured project management capability, and the right attitude and willingness to learn and develop inside a transforming business environment.

Core Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Structure
Drive end-to-end project execution across Japan & Korea
Establish clear timelines, scope, deliverables, and quality standards
Maintain structured tracking, documentation, and reporting
Support rollout of project tools (e.g., ClickUp) and structured workflows
Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate between designers, engineers, creative staff, and external vendors
Align with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Global teams
Partner closely with Monotype Korea to understand local customer needs
Communication & Stakeholder Management
Communicate clearly across local (Japan/Korea), regional (APAC), and global teams
Provide structured status updates to leadership
Prepare customer-facing meetings with correct attendees and materials
Vendor & Foundry Management
Manage relationships with external foundries distributing through Monotype
Ensure alignment on output, timelines, and platform requirements

Must-Haves

The successful candidate must have:
English (business level or above) — for regional/global communication
Japanese (business level or native) — for customers, vendors, and local operations
Strong structured work style — able to plan, document, and manage workflows
Clear communication capability across local, regional, and global stakeholders

Personality and attitude:
positive mindset, collaborative, willing to learn/develop
Comfort operating in change and low-structure environments
Interest in helping improve and build new operating models over time
These are non-negotiable due to the nature of the role.

Nice-to-Haves

5+ years in Project Management, Program Management, or Account/Production Management
Experience in creative, design, engineering, or digital production environments
Strong organizational capability with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Korean language capability
