We are looking for an experienced and driven
Lead Platform Engineer
to serve as a technical champion for our core infrastructure platform. If you have deep specialization in
AWS EKS
and a passion for maximizing developer productivity through automation, reliability, and architectural excellence, we want to hear from you. While EKS is our primary focus, we value experience across the multi-cloud landscape.
The Role: Platform Tech Lead
As a Lead Platform Engineer, you will be the technical driving force behind our cloud ecosystem. You will balance hands-on engineering with strategic technical leadership to define the future of our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership:
Serve as the technical lead for the Platform team, driving medium- to long-term architectural strategy for our cloud infrastructure. - EKS & Kubernetes Mastery:
Design, build, and operate a highly available and scalable platform using
AWS EKS
and related add-ons (e.g., service mesh, autoscaling, security). - Automation & IaC:
Implement and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices using tools like
Terraform, Helm, and ArgoCD
to standardize and automate platform deployment and maintenance. - Reliability Engineering:
Define, monitor, and improve service reliability (SLOs/SLIs) across all applications, leading incident response and post-mortems. - Developer Productivity:
Design and maintain robust platforms for CI/CD, testing, and development environments to reduce cognitive load on engineering teams. - Mentorship:
Mentor junior engineers, conduct thorough code reviews, and lead technology selection and troubleshooting efforts.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of practical experience in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- Proven expertise in designing, deploying, and operating production workloads on
AWS
, with deep specialization in
EKS/Kubernetes
. - Demonstrated experience in a
Tech Lead
capacity, including system architecture design, policy formulation, and technical team guidance. - Expert-level knowledge of IaC tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Proficiency in modern observability, monitoring, and alerting systems (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
Preferred/Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with other major cloud providers, such as
Azure (AKS)
or
GCP (GKE)
, and a willingness to explore multi-cloud solutions. - Experience with advanced Kubernetes tooling (e.g., Karpenter, Vault).
- A strong background in developing platform tooling using languages like Go, Python, or TypeScript.
