Join a world-leading financial market infrastructure provider as a Junior Compliance Officer and become a key member of the Compliance team.
You will support compliance activities with a particular focus on a leading technology-driven agency execution platform in Japan.This is a developmental role ideal for a motivated self-starter looking to build a career within a growing department with strong growth potential.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport daily compliance monitoring activities including desk reviews and tracking regulatory updates from FSA and JSDA
Assist the Internal Control Manager (ICM) with administrative duties and help manage the Compliance Monitoring Program
Prepare data and reports for regulatory inspections and maintain positive working relationships with regulators
Coordinate compliance training delivery across business units and support new business initiative reviews
Work closely with stakeholders across Legal, Risk, and Operations teams to provide compliance guidance and support
Experience
1-3 years of experience in financial services (Compliance, Audit, Operations, or Risk) or strong motivation to start a compliance career
Fluent Japanese and business-level English, willingness to take the JSDA Internal Control Manager (ICM) exam
Basic knowledge of (or interest in learning) JSDA and FSA guidelines, equity trading, and front/middle/back-office operations
Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail, positive team attitude, and adaptability
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Understanding of cash equity electronic trading (Algo, High touch, etc.) is a plus, but not required
Previous experience in compliance monitoring or regulatory reporting
Familiarity with financial markets infrastructure and trading operations
Experience working with premium financial services brands
Knowledge of global compliance frameworks and best practices
