Tokyo Bjak

Bjak is focused on providing access to affordable and sustainable financial services for people in ASEAN. Headquartered in Malaysia, Bjak is the largest insurance portal in Southeast Asia. Job Description:
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Bjak, you will be instrumental in driving our expansion in Japan. Your primary responsibility will be to manage end-to-end recruitment processes to build a strong team as we grow in the Japanese market. Proficiency in both English and Japanese (written and spoken) is essential for effectively sourcing and communicating with candidates. You will collaborate closely with the management team in Japan, ensuring hiring strategies are tailored to local practices and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop recruitment strategies tailored to the Japanese market.
  • Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and industry-specific platforms.
  • Manage the full recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating assessments.
  • Maintain and update candidate pipelines to ensure timely and efficient hiring.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on recruitment progress and key metrics.
  • Work closely on enhancing candidates' experience and improving recruitment processes.
  • Support employer branding initiatives to attract top talent in Japan.
  • Stay informed about local hiring trends and best practices in talent acquisition.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in both English and Japanese (written and spoken).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in the Japanese market.
  • Strong understanding of Japanese hiring practices, labor laws, and culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.
