勤務時間・曜日:

Job Title: Fleet Servicing & Maintenance Technician/Mechanic

Location: Shin-Yokohama, Japan (On-site)

Employment Type: Fixed Term contract

Working Hours: 40 hours/week, including weekends and public holidays

  • Shift 1: 06:30 – 15:30
  • Shift 2: 14:30 – 23:30

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Servicing & Maintenance Technician/Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair our fleet of Purpose Built Vehicles (PBVs). This includes both base vehicle systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic) and autonomous vehicle technologies (sensors, cameras, computer systems). You will work closely with engineering, operations, and technical teams to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on vehicles, including ADAS-equipped cars and vans.
  • Conduct scheduled servicing and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient fleet operation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technical issues using advanced diagnostic equipment.
  • Record, report, and resolve vehicle faults.
  • Collaborate with drivers to address faults and concerns.
  • Ensure vehicles are presentable for demonstrations to investors and media.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and company standards.

Essential Requirements:

  • Technical training completed as Vehicle-Mechatronic / Automotive Mechatronics Technician (Level 2 Automotive Technician – JAP equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years driving experience in Japan with a full clean Japanese driving license
  • Strong experience using diagnostic machines and following OEM repair manuals
  • Safe working ethic and familiarity with risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and OSHA standards
  • Strong communication skills and computer literacy (Word, Excel)
  • No blameworthy insurance claims in the past 3 years
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and adaptability as company goals evolve
  • Fluent in English and Japanese

Additional Notes:

  • Shift schedule issued 4 weeks in advance. Must be available to work weekends.
  • Employment contingent on passing health checks, random drug and alcohol testing, and disclosure of any conditions affecting safe vehicle operation.
