The Four Seasons Hotel Osaka is looking for a Public Relations Coordinator who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do.

Our PR & Communications Coordinator has the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Hotel and Destination and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction.

What you will do

This individual supports the Hotel's Public Relations and Communications Director/and Manager in all aspects of his/her role including both internal and external guest communications, media relations, experience and creative storytelling, on-site media visits, communications copywriting, video and photoshoot coordination.

  • Coordinates the administrative duties on behalf of the Public Relations and Communication team to include organizing the daily, weekly, and monthly initiative and task requirements and keeping the team aligned on deadlines with support where required.
  • Support Senior Director of Public Relations and Communications with media pitches and communication.
  • Send photos, coordinate internal interviews, draft quotes, send additional information about the Resort.
  • Assists with development of PR materials including press kits, bios, fact sheets, presentations, etc.
  • Collect information from internal departments for media pitches.
  • Assists with management of media lists, researching new media contacts, fact-checking, and researching editorial calendars.
  • Coordinates all on-site media visits with personalized media itineraries and aligns resort personnel to schedule and contributes to best-in-class media experiences. Provides property tours and entertainment when necessary.
  • Coordinates all site visits for influencers including creating personalized itineraries and sending agreements.
  • Coordination of photoshoot schedules, working directly with operational departments to manage shoot requirements. On-site support during photoshoots.
  • Maintains tracking mechanisms for media, influencer, and partnership activations including frequency, cost, and KPIs as defined by the Director of Public Relations.
  • Manages online reputation, including monitoring, reporting sentiment to internal stakeholders, and leading community responses.
  • Supports the Digital Marketing Manager with social content creation and capture at resort and provides creative to amplify monthly strategies though daily activations.
  • Provides support and collaboration with Marketing Coordinator on larger scale collateral projects to support division and hotel campus.
  • Manages Four Seasons content within press room on behalf of the department.
  • Primary contact for all image library organization and updates. Facilitates new image submissions and archiving content no longer practical for current trends and needs. Manages all agreements and releases required.
  • Assists with identifying and executing local event participation and activations that reach the local neighborhood and surrounding communities.
  • Contributes weekly, monthly and annual reports and presentations.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and days of the week to support the essential functions of the department and division.
  • Supports the marketing division with input and actions related to the annual business and plan and fiscal budget.
  • Provides support for ownership meetings and corporate presentations.
  • Supports the monthly preparation of the Public Relations departmental achievements presentation.
  • Supports the Director of Marketing in the absence of the Marketing Coordinator.
  • Proofreads all marketing material, including collateral, direct mail, advertising, printed promotional pieces, guest correspondence, etc. as required.
  • Performs other tasks or projects as assigned by the Director of Marketing and Director of Public Relations.
  • Responds according to the crisis management plan to any Resort emergency or safety situation.
  • Always acts as a brand ambassador to Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, both in and out of the resort and on personal social media accounts.

    • What you bring


    • A university degree in marketing or communications or equivalent work experience in public relations or journalism

    • A minimum of 1 to 3 year experience in public relations

    • Proven relationships with media, community and business contacts that have delivered demonstrable results, and the personality to maximize these contacts

    • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) in both Japanese and English are key and a Chinese or Korean language is a plus

    • A self-starter that can multi-task and priorities

    • Proficiency in leveraging social media networks and related monitoring tools (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

    • The ability to create newsworthy events, develop story ideas and follow through with pitch leads
