Description
The Osaka Branch of Interac Kansai & South Central Company is looking for people to be part time guest speakers in Japanese public schools.
You will visit public schools in the Hokusetsu area of Osaka Prefecture and conduct educational classes on international understanding as a guest speaker. The goal is to foster understanding of and mutual respect for different cultures among the students by sharing aspects of your country's culture and social issues. You will utilize your own experiences and knowledge to serve as a bridge between cultures.
This position will be an on call position where guest speakers are contacted if a school wishes to have a lecture. Exact details will be arranged separately for each assignment.
Responsibilities:
★ Preparation for international understanding classes
★ Participation as a guest speaker and implementation of international understanding classes
※The program you present will be planned in collaboration with the school to meet their specific needs.
Desired qualifications:
★ Should have the ability to conduct the class in Japanese (Your Japanese does not need to be perfectly fluent as long as it is understandable)
★ Should be a foreign national. International students and those with multicultural backgrounds are welcome.
★ Should have a visa which allows you to work in Japan.
★ Should be interested in school education and capable of valuing communication with students
Working hours and days:
As this is an on call position, we will place orders with guest speakers as needed. Work days and hours will vary but assignments will typically be between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM on weekdays with each lecture lasting about one hour.
※Orders are likely to be placed starting from the second semester, September 2024.
Work location:
Hokusetsu area in Osaka Prefecture including Ikeda City, Ibaraki City, Suita City, Settsu City, Takatsuki City, Toyonaka City and Minoh City.
Transportation:
Travel will primarily be via public transportation.
Salary:
5,000 yen per session.
