About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and internationally minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company's financial strategy, establish robust global financial governance, and manage relationships with institutional investors and financial institutions.
This role requires deep financial expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate within a fast-growing cross-border organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development and execution of the company's global financial strategy
- Oversee financial accounting and management accounting in accordance with IFRS
- Manage cash flow planning, budgeting, and long-term financial forecasting
- Establish financial governance frameworks for international subsidiaries
- Work closely with banks, auditors, law firms, and tax advisors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, investment funds, and financial institutions
- Lead financial modeling, investor materials, and communication during fundraising activities
- Conduct financial risk management across tax, compliance, and international operations
- Provide financial insights to support executive decision-making
- Build and lead a high-performance finance organization
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting to the executive team
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Eligible to work onsite in Tokyo, Japan
- Native-level English proficiency (spoken and written)
- Proven finance leadership experience in a technology company or global company
- Senior finance experience (CFO, VP Finance, Finance Director, or equivalent)
or
Significant hands-on experience working closely with a CFO in strategic finance
- Strong understanding of IFRS or US GAAP
- Expertise in budgeting, cash management, financial planning, and internal controls
- Experience working with institutional investors and financial institutions
- Strong cross-cultural communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- High integrity and strong governance mindset
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in international or cross-border taxation
- Experience in high-growth or tech-driven organizations
- Professional certifications such as CPA, USCPA, ACCA, etc.
- Experience building finance teams or establishing global governance structures
- Experience in cross-border M&A or financial due diligence
COMPENSATION
Based Salary
- USD 200,000 annually
Fundraising Incentive
- 0.3%–0.5% of total funds raised, distributed as an incentive based on contribution
