Summary:

Oracle is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Principal Consultant - Finance Applications Modernization to work on our finance transformation partnerships with leading Japanese banks. This executive role is the principal liaison between Oracle and client teams, driving long-term relationships, understanding complex banking/regulatory landscapes, and ensuring successful adoption of Oracle's advanced finance applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead executive-level relationships with major Japanese banks to align Oracle solutions with their finance transformation initiatives.
  • Provide functional and strategic guidance on risk, accounting, and compliance topics, especially IFRS 9/17, General Ledger, and evolving regulatory frameworks.
  • Oversee solution design and delivery for Oracle Finance Applications—Oracle GL, OFSAA (AFCS, IFRS 9, AML, KYC, etc.).
  • Champion business adoption by articulating solution value, securing stakeholder engagement, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Lead joint planning sessions, workshops, and governance meetings with Oracle and client stakeholders in Japan.
  • Present to and influence C-level executives, delivering clear communication on program value, progress, and innovation.
  • Monitor industry trends, compliance updates, and Oracle's technology roadmap to proactively shape client strategy.

Profile Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA/CPA (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services, finance transformation, or management consulting, with a strong history of supporting large banks.
  • Deep expertise in banking risk, accounting (esp. IFRS 9/17), General Ledger, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience deploying Oracle Finance Applications (GL, OFSAA suite, regulatory analytics).
  • Fluent in English and Japanese, with proven leadership, communication, and senior client-management skills.
  • Demonstrated success running large-scale transformation programs and influencing at the executive level.
