Business Overview
Commerce & Marketing Company operates more than 60 businesses, including Rakuten Ichiba, Rakuten Travel, Rakuten GORA, advertising business, and various other businesses.

Department Overview
Ecosystem Utilization Promotion Office is dedicated to maximizing synergies with Rakuten Mobile. We aim to maximize the Group's overall revenue and ROI (return on investment) by acquiring Rakuten Mobile users and cultivating loyal users for each of our services.

Our department will be a newly established department on June 1, 2024 for the above mission and will be a challenging and fast-paced environment based on high expectations from the management team.

Strategic Planning Section work with each of the Commerce & Marketing Company's businesses and Rakuten Mobile, and are responsible for promoting the cross-use of each business and Rakuten Mobile. To this end, we are implementing the visualization of management figures and maintenance of marketing data, as well as supporting the planning and execution of marketing initiatives for each business. The team plays an important role in building the foundation for the future growth of Commerce & Marketing Company, and is able to work in an environment close to the management team.

The small size of the team allows each member to take on a wide variety of tasks beyond his or her own role. This is an environment where you can promote large projects based on your own ideas.

Why We Hire
We aim to further develop the Rakuten ecosystem through the acquisition of Rakuten Mobile users.

We will increase the headcount of the new organization which will achieve the following objectives

  • Acquire Rakuten Mobile users

Promote Rakuten Mobile user acquisition in collaboration with each of the Commerce & Marketing Company's businesses, using the Commerce & Marketing Company's businesses as the hook.

  • Growth of Commerce & Marketing Company

Develop and implement a marketing strategy to achieve sustainable growth that not only sends customers from the Commerce & Marketing Company to Rakuten Mobile, but also returns Rakuten Mobile users to the Commerce & Marketing Company.

  • Best Practices

Establishment and implementation of a mechanism that enables horizontal deployment of successful and unsuccessful cases within the Commerce & Marketing Company.

Position Details

  • Collaborate with each of the Commerce & Marketing Company's businesses

Collaborate with each business to formulate and implement effective Rakuten Mobile user acquisition measures.

  • Data Utilization

Analyze and utilize user data within Rakuten's ecosystem to plan effective measures.

  • Planning

We will develop plans to acquire Rakuten Mobile users based on market trends, competitive analysis, and the characteristics of each business. We will also develop a plan to cross use Rakuten Mobile users to each business.

Work Environment
8 members in 20s-40s.

We have people from diverse backgrounds, including those who have been stationed overseas and those who came from management, sales, and marketing divisions. We are a small, elite team with an open atmosphere.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of working experience.
  • BI tool skills (Domo).
  • SQL skill
  • PowerPoint and Excel skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Rakuten's services.
  • Marketing experience.

TOEIC Score exceeding 800 (or similar level of English ability or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country)

In this case, it is necessary to achieve a TOEIC Score exceeding 800 after joining Rakuten in order to be eligible to become a regular employee.

If no evidence is available to prove the qualifications denoted above, taking an IP test, organized by Rakuten, during selection process is required.
