Business: Institutional Client Business
Within the Client Business, we pride ourselves on creating, communicating and delivering investment solutions for clients worldwide. To that end, we have teams of professionals with expertise in the many functions that combined make this effort successful and sustainable, including relationship management, marketing, sales, client service, and product development and management.
The Client Business serves institutional clients, including; pension plans, insurance companies, third-party distributor including asset manager, endowments and foundations, charities, corporations, official institutions, and banks.
Professionals within the team work together to deliver a full range of asset management, risk management and advisory services relevant to clients' investment needs. Unified under one global client platform, individual client businesses are accountable for client relationships and distribution of products and services and are supported by a centralized marketing function which ensures consistency globally.

Responsibilities
- Creating new business and product development, including: taking the initiative on new business development; building relationships across all layers, understand their needs, and create business opportunities by leveraging BlackRock's full capabilities, including risk management, traditional assets, and private assets; supporting implementation, including account set up, guideline development, reporting needs and establishing other service needs
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, including: leverage BLK network resourcefully while managing client expectations on delivery timeline Design business strategy with delivery our firm; anticipating client needs and prompt responses to client inquiries; cultivating an awareness of client specific investment and operational priorities and sensitivities
- Create presentation materials and other team business development tasks
- Assist, and in some instances, lead prospecting research efforts. Work with GCR in RFP completion
- Contribute to pre- and post-meeting logistics
- Consistently update and manage Microsoft Dynamics (CRM) information
- Build internal network. Work with respective BlackRock business partners to ensure excellence in client onboarding and servicing
- Be familiar with internal systems and processes
- Become a student of the markets
- Proactively think about client strategy and share ideas with lead RM
Knowledge/experience
- At least 5 years' relevant financial services experience
- Excellent Teamwork mind-set and thoughtful communication skills
- Experience in contributing to quality client service
- Passion to complete one's tasks and challenges
- High quality and ability to complete multi-task
- Knowledge of financial markets and asset management instruments
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Japanese
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills
- 2nd Grade of Securities Broker Representative License
- Excellent PC skills: MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Passion to learn and use internal portfolio analytical tools (Aladdin)
- Acts with integrity and with the desire to do the right thing for clients
- Able to work independently and prioritize effectively while multi-tasking
- Able to escalate effectively and is persistent
- Detail oriented and analytical
- Demonstrate diligence and self-discipline
