We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Investment Management & Solution Development to join our Investment Management team. This role is located in Tokyo, Japan and is a hybrid working role.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Deliver BNY Mellon Investment's global investment capability (mainly equity, fixed income and multi asset space) in Japan at promotion and portfolio monitoring.
  • Responsible for representing existing investment strategies with a good understanding of client needs and the investment opportunity set at the time.
  • Presentation to pension fund clients for quarterly review meeting / Presentation to prospectives for promoting the strategies.
  • Make and support periodical reporting materials.
  • Macro-economic review at IMC
  • Communicate and negotiate with foreign group's related firms and some other external parties.
  • Collaborate with the portfolio management / investment specialist teams globally and sales / product management teams locally while sharing the common business objectives.
  • Develop and substantiate ideas for investment solutions through portfolio performance/ risk attribution analysis.
  • having investment solutions experience will be an additional advantage.
  • Conduct on-going monitoring of the strategies under the team's coverage.
  • Support with the team members to submit high quality RFPs within the deadline.

    • To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
  • years of total work experience preferred.
  • Balanced experience in investment strategies across asset classes with equity and/or fixed income strategies
  • Professionalism with strong investment insight
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in English and effective presentation skill in Japanese
