Bjak is focused on providing access to affordable and sustainable financial services for people in ASEAN. Headquartered in Malaysia, Bjak is the largest insurance portal in Southeast Asia. Our main portal, , helps millions find the insurance policy with the best value and highest coverage for them. Our investments in technology such as Custom API, trading systems and data science is to enable easy access to financial services that were previously inaccessible or difficult to understand.

Vice President of Strategy
As the Vice President of Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction and success of Bjak. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive growth, enhance competitiveness, and maximize value creation. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work closely with executive leadership to set strategic priorities, identify opportunities for expansion, and navigate complex market dynamics.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine the company's overall strategic vision and roadmap, aligning with organizational goals and market trends.
- Lead the strategic planning process, including market analysis, competitive assessment, and scenario planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential acquisitions.
- Drive innovation and transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and product/service offerings.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments to anticipate challenges and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to executive leadership, board of directors, and key stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of strategic thinking and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing strategy team, fostering professional development and promoting a collaborative work environment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, industry experts, and thought leaders to stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or related roles within the financial services industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful strategic initiatives that drive growth and create value.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex information into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to think creatively and anticipate market shifts and opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
