at our Shibuya headquarters offers you personal and professional growth in an internationally diverse environment.
In
HENNGE's GIP: Front-end Engineering Pathway
, you will level up your practical application development skills primarily in Typescript using React or Vue. GIP will provide you with hands-on experience using state-of-the-art cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services and offer a real-world experience for application development.
Our primary working language is English, so no Japanese is required. The program is held at our Shibuya headquarters in Tokyo for 4-5 weeks, Monday to Friday, from 10 AM to 7 PM (JST). As the entire HENNGE's engineering team is based in the same office, interns will have the opportunity to communicate directly with mentors and other engineers. While the program is unpaid, we provide comprehensive subsidies, and outstanding participants may be offered full-time employment opportunities.

Benefits

- Access to online learning platform during the internship period
* Medical insurance will only be provided to interns who do not reside in Japan
** This internship is an unpaid training program with a subsidy provided to all interns
Essential qualifications
- Third-year undergraduate or higher (including Master's and Doctoral students). Recent graduates are also welcome to apply
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Computer Science or a related field. If not, equivalent experience from a tech internship or bootcamp is expected
- Fluency in English (Japanese not required)
- Proficiency in frontend frameworks such as React or Vue in Typescript, preferably with knowledge of the nuances of building at scale such as form validation, data fetching and state management
- Knowledge of Linux / MacOS / Unix-like environments
- Interested in open source or tech community activities
- Interested in pursuing a career in Japan
At least meet three of the following:
- Experience in cloud computing platforms, especially AWS
- Experience in full stack web application development
- Proficiency in Python or Go
- Knowledge of distributed systems
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code)
- Experience in software testing methodologies (unit testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing)
- Experience with UI/UX design tools, especially Figma
- Experience implementing responsive web design in a web app
- Experience implementing SSO in a web app
