Who is our Client?
Our client is a leading payment platform in Japan. Our client has some impressive partnership and is renowned for providing simple, instant experiences that limit the amount of hassle when shopping, not to mention having a amazing web and mobile UI and UX.
They are looking for an experienced Senior Front-End Engineer in Japan.
THE TEAM
The team is diverse and predominantly English speaking. As a member of this team you will work with modern technology to build a range of pages, applications and portals (as mentioned below) while striving for perfection in terms of UI and UX.
What You Will Do...
- You will work with colleagues and teams to build and improve a variety of services and features for internal and external users
- Consumer Side: working on and developing our client's single-page applications for consumers. our client's simple dashboard is constantly evolving and is growing into a full application where consumers can review and manage the increasing number of payment solutions and offers available to them.
- Merchant-side: Frontend experiences for merchants that make it as easy as possible for them to receive and manage their payments online. All of our merchants participate in doing business online, and payments are an essential part of their process.
- Internal: The internal tools used across teams to investigate and manage merchants & consumers, payments & charges, partners, and settlements. Our client aims to increase efficiency through investment in internal tools, and each of those tools has its own unique set of front-end engineering challenges.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization such as experts in product, design, infrastructure, and operations
- Instrument the systems with monitoring and alerting to ensure accuracy, availability, and responsiveness.
What You'll Need...
Mandatory Qualifications
- You have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent degree
- You enjoy building pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms with ReactNative
- You have experience using
- You are able to leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both iOS & Android platforms.
- You are familiar with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle {{Android Studio, IntelliJ}}
- You enjoy building UIs with modern tools like ES6, React, Redux, Flow, and Webpack
- You have team-based software development experience, and enjoy working with different stakeholders
- You care deeply about performance, accessibility, and API design
- You are comfortable working in a big codebase with multiple stakeholders
- You love learning and are not afraid to jump in
Preferred Qualifications
- You are familiar with creating B2C user experiences
- Experience with financial or payment product
