仕事内容


正直、入社したときは

「とりあえずやってみるか」・・・

くらいの気持ちでした。

工具の名前も、配管の仕組みも、

何ひとつわからない。

先輩が「モンキー持ってきて」って言っても、

「モンキーって…猿…?」と本気で思ってました(笑)

でも、現場に同行しているうちに、

ある瞬間があったんです。

自分の体よりも大きなポンプが、

クレーンでゆっくり吊り上がっていく。

「これを俺たちが設置して、

誰かの生活が守られるんだ」

その迫力と、

「仕事」というより「使命」に近い感覚に、

鳥肌が立ちました。

最初は工具を手渡すだけ。

でもいつの間にか、先輩の動きを見て、

言われる前に動けるようになっていた。

「お前、もう一人でやってみるか?」

そう言われた日のことは、今でもよく覚えています。

怖さよりも、ワクワクの方が大きかった。

今では、

新人に「最初はここから覚えるとええで」

なんて偉そうに言ってますけど(笑)

気づけば、自分が「やってる側」になってたんだなと感じます。

この仕事、奥が深いです。

ただ配管をつなぐだけじゃない。

「どうすれば長く安全に使えるか」

「使う人のことを考えた工事ができているか」

その視点を持つようになってから、

現場に立つ自分がちょっと誇らしくなりました。
