CVJ is currently #1 position in the offline market and #2 position in the overall market.
He/She develops, direct and implement marketing and corporate strategies, and lead the long-range strategic initiative of CVJ to improve the CVJ's competitive position to be the leader in the market in the next 5 years.
Also establish robust strategy on expansion of online channel sales while keeping strong momentum in the offline channel.
In charge of day-to-day activities of marketing team from clinical study preparation, large customer strategy building, new product launch readiness, advertising & promotion, market and competitors' analysis to budget management.
This position oversees a team of enthusiastic marketing professionals which comprised of Brand Marketing team, Professional Service team, Customer Marketing Team, and Myopia Management team.
Work closely with the Japan Leadership Team to build stronger Japan business and enhance the team & culture.
Works also closely with the peers and stakeholders of the region and the global marketing and commercial leaders.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
Develop and align the CVJ business planning; Own and drive the Short & Long-Range Strategic Planning (LRSP) for CVJ (Collaboration with Commercial Operation & Finance teams)
Sit on , and contribute to, the leadership team of CVJ as a LT members"
Develop and drive the marketing strategy that is consistent with the global organization's overall mission, vision, values and Short & long-term objectives.
Develop and implement and manage the overall company's digital marketing strategyMonitor, analyze, and evaluate market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify market opportunities; adjust marketing strategy and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.
Direct the development and application of both internal and external professional communication programs and marketing activities which enhance and solidify CooperVision's relations with its customers with leading PS organization.
Be the "Ambassador of the Brand" – Acts as an ambassador of the CVI brand internally as well as in the customer community and marketplace.
Evaluating marketing strategies' return on investment (ROI)Develop CooperVision brand equity
Prioritize and manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets.
Provide daily direction and high-quality, well-rounded, mature leadership to the CVJ marketing and professional services teamDemonstrate a good role model in the culture of engagement and Inclusion & Diversity. Develop high performing team and talent pipeline for own and key positions in the function.
Strengthen and maintain a goal-oriented, entrepreneurial environment that stresses employee performance, accountability, teamwork, credibility and success while living and role modeling the CVI values.
Cultivate a high-performance team through process, discipline, coaching and feedback.Develop an effective relationship with Regional and Global Marketing Team to provide inputs with the strategic knowledge of country market environment and customer needs as well as contribute to the team to develop and implement regional and global marketing plans
Engage the Regional and Global Marketing Team by ensuring that these teams possess a crystal-clear understanding of the CVJ business and Japan market; Aggressively demand from the Regional and Global Marketing Team support to drive, improve, execute the CVJ marketing plans.
Build relationships with strategic customers to maximize the CVJ's business interests.Work alongside with and influence other senior executives across the organization (particularly in the sales organization) to ensure that marketing strategies and activities are integrated with other parts of the business and align with the overall corporate objectives.
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
15+ years of progressive business experience in any of the Marketing, Sales Analytics, Category or Strategic Account Management, or a combination of Sales and Marketing.
High level of analytical skills to be able to derive useful insights from raw data and information, availing strategies and approaches that enable acquisition, retention, and enhancement in sales volume
Excellent understanding of Customer, Business Intelligence, and Industry trends.
Good knowledge and experience with online marketing best practices
The ability to strategize marketing / commercial orientation
Advanced leadership skills the ability to lead and influence cross-function and global / APAC regional stakeholders
Proven ability to inspire a team
Resolves critical issues and contributes to organizational development Always look for opportunities to improve by challenging status quo and by being innovative

Experience:
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in marketing and 5 years of executive-level leadership role with budget responsibility in international companies
Experience as Country Manager/GM, Sales leader or P&L ownership is preferred
A strong leader and with inspiring presence possessing a track record of developing people and achieving challenging objectives
The mix of healthcare industry experience and Consumer marketing experience is preferred
Contact Lens industry experience is also preferred but not the requirement

Frequent within Japan and Asia with occasional trips outside Asia/Global (HQ)
Frequent conference calls with various groups in different time zones with APAC & Global
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Degree / MBA is preferred
