As a Probe Operation Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in maximizing Probe output and ensuring on-time customer delivery commitments. Our mission is to optimize probe operations by expanding line driving and implementing a proactive, shift-left capacity plan that balance within HVM/NPI and TD requirements. We are committed to continuously improving KPIs (including CT and probe out precise control until PSPT levels) and reducing cycle time, ensuring an efficient and reliable probe process that maximizes overall output.

This position requires strong analytical skills to identify issues, outs projections, and implement strategies that unlock capacity and accelerate throughput. You will collaborate closely with SIC planning and probe equipment team, Supply Chain, MCT, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to align on the weekly outs commitment and mitigate risks impacting delivery timelines. Additional responsibilities include leading initiatives for cycle time reduction, yield improvement, and cost optimization, as well as supporting technology transitions and process diversification such as Probe project, Probe offload, Metallization and W2W handling.

You will also develop automation tools to enhance planning accuracy, monitor KPIs (pace, cycle time, delivery adherence), and drive continuous improvement projects that directly impact customer satisfaction and Fab performance. Effective communication and global coordination are essential to achieve maximum output and flawless delivery execution.

Responsibilities and Key Deliverables

  • Develop and execute short-term production plans to maximize probe output and meet customer delivery commitments even until PSPT level.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs (Outs, cycle time) and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, MCT, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to align production plans and mitigate risks.
  • Drive initiatives for cycle time reduction, yield improvement, and cost optimization.
  • Support technology transitions and process diversification (Probe related project, Metallization, probe offload, W2W handling).
  • Develop automation tools and digital solutions to enhance planning accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects impacting customer satisfaction and Probe performance.
  • Communicate effectively with global teams to ensure alignment on output and delivery goals.

Required Skill

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Management, or related field
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or production planning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; ability to create reports and dashboards
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional and global teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Business-level English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Basic Japanese communication
  • High motivation to improve

Preferred Skill

  • Knowledge of SIC planning or Probe process
  • Familiarity with automation tools and programming languages (Python, SQL, VBA)
