Join a large-scale project for a global insurance company as a Mainframe Storage Administrator.In this role, you will manage and maintain enterprise storage systems, including DASD, RAID, SAN, NAS, tape, and optical storage.
You will be responsible for media operations, storage optimization, application availability, and process improvement initiatives, ensuring seamless infrastructure performance across mission-critical systems.
This position requires fluent Japanese and English communication skills to coordinate with on-site and offshore teams. You will contribute to transformation initiatives, including process maturity, storage optimization, and operational efficiency. Must have more than 5 years of IT experience in Server storage administration and maintenance projects
Knowledge and hands on experience in DB2, direct access storage devices (DASD), redundant array of independent disks (RAID), storage area Network (SAN), Network-attached storage (NAS, tape and optical), etc.
Ability to effectively coordinate with Customer SMEs, Onsite and Offshore teamsActively involve in Application transition and stabilization phases by aligning to Japan (JST) working hours
【Nice to have】
Exposure on IBM iSeries architecture/components, ITIL, Agile methodology, DevOps
Insurance domain knowledge is added advantage

Large-scale project for Global Insurance company.
【Role and responsibilities】
Fluent in reading, writing, and conversing in both Japanese & English languages to establish good coordination and communication with Customer, Onsite and Offshore teams
Hands on experience on direct access storage devices (DASD), redundant array of independent disks (RAID), storage area Network (SAN), Network-attached storage (NAS, tape and optical), etc.
Actively involve in the primary responsibilities that include but not limited to:Develop, document and maintain media operations Contractor procedures that meet CLIENT requirements and adhere to CLIENT policies.
Maintain a media library and media management system.
Manage input media availability to meet processing requirements and/or SLRs.
Perform periodic audits to ensure proper cataloging of media.
Actively contribute towards various Transformation initiatives (Process maturity, Storage optimization, etc.) to achieve the project goals
Collaborate with Infra, IT and business teams to ensure seamless application availability and performance.
Participate in performance reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing.
