Join a team of very dedicated technology professionals in the financial services industry, delivering Level 3 back-end systems engineering and operations for the Windows Ops Group.

The squad provides enterprise class monitoring and tooling solutions for the firm's Windows Server environment of over 13,000 servers. The team has presence in several cities across the globe, and is responsible for all aspects of the design, implementation and support of these systems.

You'll be part of a talented, highly diverse, global team applying Agile principles and a 'Follow the Sun' production support model (operations & engineering); in an environment which is leveraging technology to its highest potential.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Contribute to ongoing initiatives on Windows Server / Infrastructure and to own engineering tasks from design to implementation and support
• Work in an Agile squad to engineer, maintain and support Windows Server and Active Directory-based solutions following firm policies and the latest security guidelines
• Provide 3rd line support including on-call, investigate complex problems and troubleshoot root causes providing recommendations and solutions
• Identify areas for automation and implement scripted solutions leveraging DevOps practices
• Create, review and maintain technical and operational support documentation
• Share knowledge amongst peers and clients in the Agile chapter and squad

Active Directory SME - Role Details

• Windows Server Infrastructure Specialist for domain trust planning and enablement, Active Directory integration and support.
• Maintain the global Windows Server and Active Directory infrastructure, provide operational stability by following and using the tools, policies, processes and procedures available.
• Design and Development of solutions across the Windows Infrastructure space focused around Active Directory, Windows Server and Security.
• Implement monitoring and auditing solutions for Active Directory.
• Investigate & Troubleshoot Windows Servers and Active Directory related incidents.
• Integrate and interact with regional and global colleagues to drive change through identifying areas for process improvement, automation, and scripting wherever possible.

Key Skills Required:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Active Directory Administration, design, and implementation.
• Excellent understanding of Active Directory and related infrastructure components such as DNS, Group Policies, LDAPs, Kerberos authentication.
• In-depth technical understanding of Microsoft Server based Operating Systems focused around Server 2016, 2019 and 2022.
• Strong knowledge of Windows security and auditing and up to date knowledge of Microsoft best practice around security practices and technologies
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills to at least intermediate level of knowledge, focused around automation in the Windows Infrastructure / Platform space.
• Good understanding about network and firewall concepts.
• Ability to write technical and operational management documentation (system design and engineering documents, operational run books, high level design through to build and implementation)
