RESPONSIBILITIES

  • All applied technology and product development activities for the MS Industrial & Transportation(INT) within the region Japan are excellently executed in alignment with the strategic targets of the business line CAD.
  • Customer projects & opportunities are identified, acquired and realized.
  • The value expectations of the INT innovation portfolio is continually increased, the corresponding innovation targets (NPV, pipeline value, launch calendar...) are being met.
  • In the region Japan outstanding technical support and advice is given for global Key, focus Accounts as well as accounts requested by our distribution partners; the product portfolio is being positioned in a differentiated fashion and strategic partnerships are being fostered.
  • The strategic digitalization projects of the BL are professionally supported.
  • The Network of regional and global experts for INT is being extended, knowledge is generated and expertise can be utilized cross-segment.
  • The lab for the overall BL CAD is managed well and the new lab requirements for the future are met and the new set-up is built for growth
  • Lead and develop the employees with the team
  • The active execution of all market oriented innovation activities
  • Pro-active knowledge transfer to Sales and Give technical training to sales colleagues, distributors and customers
  • Attending conferences; preparing papers at magazines to present BL-CAD.

    • REQUIREMENTS

  • Master degree or above level in chemistry. Polymer science or organic chemistry is preferred.
  • Leadership of team (min 2 people) require
  • Effective communication skill with diverse teams in both Japanese and English.
  • Project management capability with positive thinking.
  • Experience in technical service is preferred. Good understanding on how to build and manage strategic partnership with key accounts will be a good fit for this position.
  • At least 5 years' experience in the coating industry or related raw material industry.
  • Well known in Japan coatings market is preferred.
