【組織について】
CMSO(Chief Manufacturing and Supply Officer)組織は、オリンパスにおける製造・調達・サプライチェーン・製造エンジニアリング・修理といったものづくりに関わる機能を統合・統括する中核組織です。
製品開発の初期段階から市場導入、アフターサービスに至るまで、グローバルに統一されたプロセスのもとで一貫したマネジメントを行うことで、医療現場への安定供給と品質向上を実現しています。

【業務内容】
(雇入れ直後 )
・グローバル物流・輸送管理の観点からリージョナルの物流オペレーションを支援し、各リージョンおよび運送会社と連携して、物流オペレーション上の課題をタイムリーに解決します。
・外部サービスプロバイダーによる輸送サービス調達に関するグローバル入札プロジェクトを企画・推進し、Olympus のグローバル間接購買部門と連携して実行します。
・国際物流における新規外部サービスプロバイダーとのオペレーション立ち上げをサポートします。
・リージョンにおける輸送最適化の実現を支援し、必要なグローバルサポートの提供や、正確な予測/計画にもとづく各リージョンの取り組み推進をサポートします。
・輸送費用やスケジュール遵守率など、貨物輸送に関するKPIをモニタリングし、サービスプロバイダーのオペレーションパフォーマンスを管理します。
・貨物輸送における温室効果ガス(GHG)排出量を把握し、削減施策を推進することで、企業のESG活動を支援します。
・外部ソリューションプロバイダーが提供する、AIを活用したサプライチェーン意思決定支援のコントロールタワーソリューションの導入を支援します。リージョン、IT、運送会社、プロジェクトマネジメントチームと連携し、既存のトラッキング/トレーシングソリューションとの連携を推進します。
・四半期ごとのグローバル物流レポートを全世界のSCM関連社員へ配信し、グローバル物流市場の動向や当社貨物輸送への影響に関する理解向上に貢献します。
・アメリカ地域向けの製品供給におけるSCM計画業務および最適化をサポートします。

【About the Organisation】

CMSO (Chief Manufacturing and Supply Officer) organization serves as the central hub for Olympus' manufacturing-related functions, including production, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, and repair.

It integrates and oversees these functions to ensure seamless operations.

From the early stages of product development to market introduction and after-sales service, CMSO ensures consistent management under globally unified processes.

This approach enables the stable supply of products to healthcare settings while continuously improving quality.

【Responsibilities】
(Immediately after hiring)
・Supports logistics regional operations from the global logistics & transportation management function viewpoint and resolves any logistics operational issues by liaising with regions and carriers in a timely manner.
・Organizes the global bidding project for procurement of transportation services produced by external service providers, by aligning the global indirect procurement function of Olympus.
・Supports implementation of operation for the new set-up with external service providers of international logistics.
・Supports regions to realize the transpiration optimization by ensuring the regions are getting any Global support needed and are moving their respective initiatives ahead with accurate forecasts/plans etc.
・Tracks the KPIs of the cargo movement expenses, schedule reliability of transportation to manage the operational performances of service providers.
・Supports the corporate ESG initiatives especially for reductions of Green House Gas emissions in transit of Olympus' cargo movement by grasping the actual amount of CO2 emissions and initiating initiatives of reductions.
・Supports introduction of the Control Tower solutions produced by an external solution provider for AI driven decision making for any Supply Chain activities and links a track and trace standalone solution with the Control Tower, working with the Regions, IT, carriers, and Project management.
・Distributes the quarterly global logistics reports to all global SCM related employees of Olympus to contribute the enhancement of the better understanding of global logistics market condition and impact on Olympus' cargo movement.
・Supports SCM planning activities & optimization for the goods supply for Americas region.

複数の「What-if」シナリオを迅速に作成・評価できること(例:海上運賃が15%上昇した場合の在庫モデルへの影響など)。

・契約交渉の支援:
運送会社とのレート交渉時に、実データにもとづく公平な目標レート(例:Hybrid BSA の基準価格)の提示など、交渉をデータで支援できる能力。

The ability to not just calculate costs, but to build sophisticated models (like your breakeven analysis) that project long-term financial impacts.

They must understand land cost, total cost of ownership, and cost-to-serve.
・Data Structure and Integrity:
Expertise in sourcing data from ERP/TMS systems, cleaning it, and structuring it for reporting. They must be proficient in advanced Excel, and ideally, SQL or Power BI for complex data visualization.

Skill in statistical analysis to identify trends, forecast capacity needs, and model the impact of volatility (like the JP-DE lane's high failure rate) on cost.

・Process Mapping and Simulation:

The ability to map current logistics processes (Air to Sea, WHS flows) and simulate the effects of changes before implementation.

・Risk Evaluation:

The capacity to quantify operational risks (e.g., the risk of expedited air freight eroding savings in the Air-to-Sea move) and present mitigation strategies.

・Scenario Planning:

The ability to quickly create and evaluate multiple "what-if" scenarios (e.g., what if the ocean rate increases by 15%, how does that change the breakeven on the Canadian stock?).

・Contract Negotiation Support:

Providing carriers with data-backed targets during rate negotiations (e.g., establishing a fair price for a Hybrid BSA based on the client's actual baseline volume).

・Total Supply Chain View:
A deep understanding of how transportation decisions impact upstream (forecasting, manufacturing) and downstream (warehouse operations, inventory holding costs).
