We are looking for a Mobile Architect for a leading Tech Giant at Tokyo, Japan

Responsibilities
- 9+ years in mobile software development, with 5+ years in a dedicated mobile architectural or lead engineering role.
- Expert-level proficiency in designing, developing, and architecting native: Android applications (Kotlin / Java) ,iOS applications (Swift / Objective-C)
- Deep understanding of mobile web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks) and Progressive Web App (PWA) development principles, including deployment and optimization strategies.
- Strong familiarity with evolving frontend frameworks like ReactJS, VueJS, Angular, and NextJS, and their architectural implications for mobile-optimized web experiences. Demonstrated expertise in using NodeJS and ExpressJS frameworks.
- Proven architectural experience with at least one major cross-platform framework (e.g., React Native, Flutter), including performance tuning and native module integration. Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex "Super App" and "Mini App" architectures, addressing modularity, lifecycle management, and inter-app communication. Exceptional ability to define, implement, and evolve scalable, secure, and performant mobile architectures that meet high availability and reliability standards.
- Advanced proficiency in creating detailed technical design documentation, utilizing UML diagrams or script-based diagramming tools (e.g., PlantUML, Mermaid).
- Expert understanding of API design principles (RESTful, event-driven) and extensive experience in defining API contracts, versioning, and integrating mobile-facing APIs.
- Familiarity with API gateway solutions and tools like Swagger / OpenAPI. Mastery of mobile development best practices, encompassing UI/UX principles, performance optimization, accessibility, offline capabilities, and robust error handling.
Qualifications
- Experience with iOS and Android platforms
- Experience with automated testing frameworks beyond basic unit tests, including UI automation (e.g., Espresso, XCUITest, Appium) and performance testing.
- Understanding and practical experience with Microservice architecture principles for backend API development.
- Familiarity with Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies, Grafana, and Splunk configurations for monitoring and security.
- Contributions to open-source mobile projects or a strong portfolio of personal mobile applications.
- K8S-based services design and development for high available, scalable solution on RCP platform or similar.
