The team
Hitachi Digital Services Japan, which is the HDS's Japan country office, is strengthening its offshore engineering services leveraging development centers in Vietnam and India, building a global delivery structure that combines high quality and cost competitiveness.
The role
- Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using Java and Kotlin.
- Lead discussions on clean architecture, modularization, and codebase structure.
- Develop and maintain design systems.
- Create and review technical designs, architecture diagrams, and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with offshore engineering teams in Vietnam.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Ensure application performance, quality, and maintainability.
- Support Cloud and CI/CD environments.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree with a major in software development, information technology or related fields.
- Strong experience in Java and Kotlin for mobile application development.
- Japanese speaking ability required (JLPT N1 or N2 level).
- Solid understanding of clean architecture, design patterns, and scalable codebases.
- Experience working with complex or large-scale mobile applications.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Swift (iOS development).
- Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in cross-platform or multi-OS mobile development.
