Join our team as a member of the Intellectual Property Department at Rakuten Group, Inc. We are expanding our intellectual property activities in our mobile network operator business and Rakuten Symphony business, which provides fully virtualized cloud native mobile networks to global customers. The department is actively promoting global business and development activities in Japan and overseas.
We are looking for a talented person to reinforce our intellectual property licensing function. The ideal candidate will have experience in analysis and utilization of standards essential patents, specifically in 3GPP or O-RAN Alliance. They will also be responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, including license agreements, development agreements, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and terms and conditions for various services.
English is the primary language used in internal and external meetings, so fluency is essential. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to communicate effectively in English. Some knowledge of Japanese is beneficial but not required.

Mandatory qualifications include patent licensing negotiation experience on the licensor side or licensee side, a TOEIC score of 800 or higher, and business-level English.
